If you wish to report a parking problem, you can call the Parking Enforcement Office by
dialling 3-1-1 (Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.). If calling outside of City
limits, please dial (905) 615-4311. After hours, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. and on
weekends and holidays, please call 905-615-3000."
You will need to advise the Customer Service Advisor of the type of parking complaint, the
street name or address where the offending vehicles are parked. You may be asked to provide the
type of vehicle and licence plate number. Finally, you will be asked to provide your name and
address information for possible follow-up purposes. This information will remain confidential
and is not released.
For private property offences:
In order for Parking Enforcement to enter a private property to enforce such things as
visitor/tenant parking, we must have a Letter of Authorization filed with our office. This
letter should outline who has the authority to call Parking Enforcement to enforce the
property (i.e. tenants, superintendents, and/or security). One of those listed people must also
be present.
Secondly, the property must have proper signs outlining the parking rules in order for our
officers to enforce that property. Examples of signs include visitor parking, tenant parking
and customer parking only.
Parking Enforcement will come out to your property and do a sign inspection, detailing
what signs need to be put up according to your enforcement needs. Please call 3-1-1 and our
Customer Service Advisor will issue a service request to an Operations Officer. You will
be given a reference number for easy follow up.
For ticket inquiries:
If you wish to know the status of a parking ticket that was issued to you, you can search your
ticket online by clicking here. Alternatively, you can call Parking Enforcement at 3-1-1. Please
have your parking ticket handy as you will be asked to provide the ticket number, which is
located on the top-right hand corner and begins with a letter "M" and include the
check digit (number in the box at the far end of the ticket). We can tell you the status of
your ticket, i.e. paid, voided, any notices issued. In addition, we can review any other City
tickets issued against your licence plate number.
This information is for convenience and quick reference only. For further
information please contact the Parking Enforcement office by calling 3-1-1 or if calling
from outside Mississauga dial 905-615-4311.
