Save time and money by knowing what to do from the start. From small renovations to building new units for family or rental, inspection readiness helps keep projects on schedule and on budget. This series will help you plan and build smart from day one.
Whether you’re a homeowner doing your own renovations or a contractor working with clients, these videos are a must-watch to help your project pass the inspection the first time.

The inspection readiness video series builds on the City’s ongoing work to educate residents, help increase housing choices and streamline the building process.
Mississauga’s pre-approved garden suite plans and materials list help make it faster and easier to build a backyard unit. The City’s gentle density incentive program provides grants to bring down the cost of building additional residential units and fourplexes. The City has also created a suite of online tools help educate and track development progress in Mississauga including the active development applications website and the online Guide to City Planning and Development. These efforts contribute to the Mayor’s Housing Task Force report recommendations and Mississauga’s new Official Plan 2051 goals to expand types of housing and make it easier to build across the city.
