Your Mississauga Library

In 2025, library staff and community partners delivered more than 6,000 programs, including author talks, workshops, newcomer supports, literacy programs, youth activities and storytimes for children.

Together, these programs, services and resources generate approximately $236.7 million in social and economic value each year, according to a recent impact report. That’s equal to approximately $307 in value per resident and $6.96 returned for every dollar invested.

Learn something new

The “Lecture Me” speaker series, in partnership with the University of Toronto Mississauga Experiential Education Unit, features engaging discussions with professors from diverse fields on timely topics, including artificial intelligence, human evolution, and childhood development.

Connect with your community

Enjoy annual events such as the upcoming Mississauga Comic Expo, which welcomes thousands of guests for themed programs, workshops and activities along with favourites like the Mississauga Seed Library and Mississauga Literary Festival.

Meet acclaimed authors and discover new books at the Author Talks series. Upcoming talks include bestselling author Kelly Armstrong (“The Women of the Otherworld” series) and retirement advocate Susan Pimento (“Your Retirement Reset”).

Access unique services

Newcomers can access a range of supports and activities at multiple library locations, including English conversation circles, connections to settlement services, one-on-one resume help, job search resources, Commissioners of Oaths services and citizenship test preparation materials. There are also multilingual family storytime programs for children and a wide range of books and media available in over 20 languages.

The Open Window Hub, located at Hazel McCallion Central Library, helps empower unhoused individuals and families with resources and connection to local services and partners. In 2025, the hub connected 2,709 people to housing support and 1,066 to health services.
