Make the Most Out of Canadian Winters (in Mississauga!)

Entertainment and activities | February 24, 2023

Winter in Canada can be long and cold, but it doesn’t have to be a time to stay inside. It can be an opportunity to explore the great outdoors in a parka and boots as you immerse yourself in snowy activities, enjoy Mississauga’s finest trails and experience winter wildlife. With this recent blast of snow, there’s still time to make the most out of winter!

Walk your way through snowy trails
Mississauga is home to more than 500 parks, which includes publicly-owned woodlands and natural areas, and hundreds of kilometres worth of trails that are waiting to be explored. We’ve shortlisted a few winter-friendly trails help get you started:

Don’t forget to practice trail etiquette when visiting:

  • No dumping, littering or pruning
  • Stay on designated trails and keep dogs on a leash
  • Share the trail: slow down when passing, stay to the right and watch out for others
