School Streets pilot project

A School Street creates a temporary car-free environment in front of a school during drop-off and pick-up times. This creates safe, community-friendly spaces for people walking and cycling to school, including students, their caregivers and teachers.

Online community meetings

In April 2022, City staff hosted two community meetings that were open to the public.

Presentations included details about the temporary road closures and the activities and opportunities being created for students and their families. Presentations were followed by a question period.
