Success stories: CLIF Bar & Company

CLIF is a consumer packaged good that focuses on producing energy bars, but they also have a mission statement that focuses on five main aspirations. Those five aspirations are Community, People, Planet, Brand and Business.

Community and people

“We manage product donations in-kind for CLIF, where we support events and distribute high quantities of CLIF bars on a monthly basis. Through our partnership, we’ve connected with many members of the Mississauga community, to ensure they get a snack on us. We’ve worked with MiWay, Mississauga Works, the Bradley Museum and Mississauga sports leagues.”

Environment

“We connected with an organizer that was planning an ‘Earth Day Tree Planting’ event. We were able to distribute some bars to some volunteers at four different conservation areas in the community. We’re always informed of new initiatives that focus on the environment and sustainability from the Mississauga culture division.”

Brand and business

“On a monthly basis, I receive emails on new events and opportunities that the City of Mississauga has for CLIF and how we can get involved. Whether it is ‘Fresh Air Fitness’ that directly correlates to our target market, or ‘Movie Night at Celebration Square’ that is something a little out of the ordinary for us, there is always something we can explore.”
