Road Safety

To address road safety issues in Mississauga, City Council adopted a Safe Driving Strategy in 1998 and a Pedestrian Safety Strategy in 2003.  Since that time, several programs have been implemented to address various road safety issues.  Traffic Operations and Engineering staff of the Transportation and Works Department operate an Integrated Road Safety Program that coordinates traffic engineering and operations, that works together with the Road Safety Mississauga advisory committee.
