City of Mississauga budget

The City’s budget shapes and directs how Mississauga works. It ensures we can maintain our infrastructure and provide the services you depend on without overspending.

Learn how we’re budgeting, planning and investing for the future while prioritizing what’s important to you like, transit, road maintenance, snow clearing, recreation and emergency services.
  • How the City budget works
Every year the City creates a budget to determine which services to provide and City infrastructure investments to make.
  • How the City gets money
The City raises funds through property taxes and other sources of revenue to keep Mississauga’s infrastructure in good condition and key services running.
  • How the City spends money
The City keeps infrastructure like roads, bridges and buildings in good condition and maintains services like transit, parks, libraries, and emergency services.
