Citizen appointments on committees

Are you interested in being a citizen member of a City of Mississauga committee?

If you’re 18 years or older, a Canadian citizen and Mississauga resident, you can apply to become a citizen member on a City of Mississauga committee or board. Joining a City committee is a unique opportunity to contribute to your community.

Public Vehicle Advisory Committee (2 vacancies)

The City of Mississauga is currently seeking two citizens to sit on the Public Vehicle Advisory Committee for a term of office until November 14, 2022. The vacancies are for the following positions:

  • Representative from the taxi drivers (1 vacancy)
  • Representative from the taxi owners (1 vacancy)

Applicant qualifications

Canadian Citizen, Mississauga resident or business owner, minimum 18 years of age and not employed by the City of Mississauga or Region of Peel.

Application deadline

Applications will be accepted from Monday September 27, 2021 to Monday, October 18, 2021.  Only those considered for an interview will be contacted.  All personal information is collected under the authority of the Municipal Act.
