Service changes start on Monday, June 29

Route 51 Tomken extended to Dixie GO Station

To enhance connections to GO Transit service, Route 51 Tomken will be extended to serve Dixie GO Station. This will make transferring to GO Transit service easier for customers looking to travel on the Milton Line to and from Toronto. For northbound travel towards Bramalea GO Station, customers can board Route 51 Tomken at Platform 4 (stop #3461) at Dixie GO Station.

Route 51 Tomken will also have improved service frequencies on Saturdays, from every 50-56 minutes to every 45 minutes between 6 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Weekday service frequencies will remain unchanged.

Reduced service frequency due to lower customer demand

MiWay continues to monitor customer ridership on all routes. This information helps MiWay understand ridership trends over time. This data-driven approach allows MiWay to make changes to transit service that reflect the actual customer demand and allocate service to where it is needed most.

The routes below will have reduced service frequency due to lower customer demand:

  • 7 Airport: The frequency on this route will be reduced on Saturdays between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. The frequency will go from every 20-22 minutes to every 25 minutes.
  • 17 Hurontario: The frequency on this route will be reduced on weekdays between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. The frequency will go from every 14 minutes to every 20 minutes.
  • 57/57A Courtneypark: The frequency on this route will be reduced on weekdays between 5 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. The frequency will go from approximately every 12 minutes to approximately every 14 minutes. Two additional Route 57 Courtneypark westbound trips will also be introduced at 3:58 p.m. and 4:56 p.m. to reduce overcrowding.
