The City no longer regulates or issues licences for vehicle pound facilities in Mississauga.
On January 1, 2024, the Ministry of Transportation put into effect the Towing and Storage Safety and Enforcement Act. This Act replaces municipal regulation of vehicle pounds.
The Act requires vehicle pound facilities to have a provincial certificate to operate.
