The City no longer regulates or issues licences for tow truck drivers and tow truck owners in Mississauga.
On January 1, 2024, the Ministry of Transportation put into effect the Towing and Storage Safety and Enforcement Act. This Act replaces municipal regulation of tow truck drivers and tow truck owners.
The Act requires tow truck drivers and operators to have a provincial certificate to operate.
