Residential tax distribution

Your residential property tax bill includes “levies” or charges that support the City of Mississauga, the Region of Peel and your local school boards. For the 2024 budget year, these levies are distributed as follows:

  • 37% to the City of Mississauga
  • 47% to the Region of Peel
  • 16% to Peel District School Board and Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board

Here’s how the taxes for City services for the 2024 budget are distributed for an average single family dwelling with an assessed property value of $730,000.
