Pay property tax

Online services will be down for updates from September 25 at 8 a.m. to September 28 at 10 a.m. During this time you won’t be able to access your online property tax account.
The City of Mississauga has deferred interim and final property tax due dates by 90 days.
The Cashiers Desk and Tax Counter remain closed to the public at this time. In-person payment is not available. Please use an alternative method of payment listed on this page.

Find out how to pay your property taxes to the City of Mississauga online, in person at a drop box or by mail.

1. Pre-Authorized Tax Payment (PTP) Plan

If you have no overdue taxes you can enrol in the PTP plan online to have your property taxes automatically withdrawn from your bank account, either in monthly withdrawals or on regular instalment due dates.

You can also submit the completed PTP Application by mail or in person (at a drop box) along with a void cheque. Follow the steps on the form to enrol.

If you move or buy a new property, you’ll need to complete a new PTP application form. Your PTP is cancelled once property ownership is updated.

2. At your financial institution

Pay your property taxes at most banks and trust companies either online or at your branch.

3. At City Hall

While our Cashiers Desk and Tax Office remain closed, you are still able to drop off your cheque payment in the drop box located at the cashier’s counter on the ground floor or outside of the building on the North side.

Your cheque payment will be processed the next business day.

4. Mail

Mail your property tax cheque including post-dated cheques payable to “Mississauga Taxes” to:

Mississauga Taxes
PO Box 3040, Station A
Mississauga ON L5A 3S4

The cheque must include the roll number you would like the payment applied to and also the stub from your tax bill.
