Residents Invited to Mayor's Budget Town Hall Meeting on Roads & Water Systems

Mayor Hazel McCallion will host the second Town Hall meeting to focus on the 2011 Budget. The service area presenting will be Roads and Water Systems as delivered by the City and the Region of Peel. City Manager Janice Baker will present a brief overview of what City taxes pay for; explain the tax bill and the services that are supported by local taxes.

Staff will present an overview on the business of managing Mississauga’s roadways, bridges, sidewalks, street lighting, municipal parking, the cycling network and storm and waste water systems including costs and funding challenges.

Residents will have the opportunity to ask questions following the presentation.

Leading up to and during the meeting, residents are encouraged to ask questions, submit feedback and follow the discussion LIVE via Twitter.

The event will also air live on Rogers Cable 10 and streamed on demand following the event at www.rogerstv.com.
