The City of Mississauga is exploring cost-effective ways to provide washrooms to the public.
A washroom pilot project in Tobias Mason Park will begin this year and will open to the public in fall 2021.
The 20-foot shipping container washroom will be located near the existing spray pad and close to Terragar Boulevard. It will be designed to be accessible, safe and durable. The City anticipates that the pilot project will run for two years and then be reassessed.
Once installed, the washroom will remain open to the public through the fall of 2021. It will re-open for use in spring 2022.
Following installation, the City will be seeking public feedback through an online survey to understand how the location and shipping container washroom are serving the park visitors’ needs.
